📢 Exciting job opportunity! We're hiring a Research Associate in Urban Analytics (Grade 7, fixed-term 18 months) based at the University of Glasgow to work on our IDEAMAPS Data Ecosystem project funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The project will co-design and develop a participatory data-modelling ecosystem to produce deprived area maps routinely and accurately at scale across cities in lower-middle-income countries (LMIC) to support multiple local stakeholders in their decision-making. The post requires PhD or equivalent research experience in urban analytics, remote sensing and geospatial statistics, as well as substantiated knowledge of machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods applied to Earth Observation geospatial data (e.g., satellite imagery, sensors, street view images), alongside an interest in doing collaborative research to tackle social and spatial inequalities.
